Thank you to everyone who was concerned about my sister coming over, we kept our distance from each other at all times, she stayed in the flat when I popped out to get our lunch, when I got back after we'd eaten it was one in one room, one in the other, so apart from seeing her and starting to unpack the bags of shopping she brought over (I didn't ask her for anything), there hasn't been much going on although in my road someone had set up a music centre which was working and a few people were out in the road dancing, and no I didn't join them

Hi Jerry, there were only 3 or 4 people dancing, I could see them from my flat and they were well spread out, and if it lasted an hour that could be an exaggeration
I saw my mum today. I was dropping off essentials and normally I drop the off at the front door and she waves at me through the window. Today, when I got there and left the bags, I phoned and told her to open the garden door around the back. I would sit on the garden bench and she would sit indoors in the kitchen with the door open so we could actually spend some time together and chat. I always observe more than the 2 meters recommended but even though we couldn't hug, the chat really brightened the day up and it meant so much to my mum. xx
Hi Jennymary,
It sounds as if seeing your sister lifted your spirits a bit so I'm pleased for you. Even though you couldn't have close contact with her I know it can be a relief just to have someone else around for a while.
For some reason I've been filled with wellbeing today even though it's been a mundane sort of a day. Time seemed to fly and my husband's back into work for his 4 nights rostered on duty. I love him dearly, but actually it's quite nice to have a bit of alone time, with just my cat Kasar for company.
My granddaughter had a bit of a wobble this evening. She's an adult granddaughter, but her mum (my daughter) has COVID-19, so of course she's worried and was also feeling stir-crazy confined to her apartment. So I spent a long time chatting to her and it was good when she said later that she felt better.
I'm with you all the way on that dancing. It doesn't seem like something that sounds as if it should be happening....
Very best wishes, and again, so glad you had a good day.
