Hi piplip, I have no personal experience of this, but it does sound like a sensible precaution to help you stay safe. Please continue to stay safe and well by taking good care and all recommended precautions. 🙏
Hi Piplip - not sure if this helps answer your specific question, but from some quick research I can see that the Terrence Higgins Trust has published some guidance on covid-19 for those living with HIV:

Please continue to stay safe and well.
I'm hiv pos but haven't been taken meds since a year cause of depression and mental factors as well plus have high bp but am not even considered to be in any vulnerable group, but been isolated for 4 weeks now iv read the Terrence Higgins site but it doesn't mention much bout high virual levels and what should do 2been stressed out so is it OK to go out knowing my immune system isn't going to be much help if I catch the virus I have registered on the government website but no help there I have tried to stay positive but been having headaches for on off for last week, I know there are a lot of people worse off then me there must be a few in my place that feel like they in limbo
