I am not able to see my grandchildren, other than on Facetime (Thank you Apple Inc). I am not able to leave my house and am playing old favourite games like rummikub, canasta etc. with my wife.
YOu sound very sensible. I used to play rummikub online. Which site do you use for it? Or is it in real life the two of you?
Yes I’m still working. Agricultural jobs are exempt. I work with just 4 other people and we are usually widely separated. We all just come to work and return home to isolation. Everyone is being very careful. Lots of handwashing and fresh air. My neighborhood is very quiet and it’s just starting to warm up a bit. I’m hoping to do some yard cleanup this weekend. I do have some snowdrops blooming so that’s encouraging!
No not really, too old to work, but very luckily I live right out in the sticks no really near neighbours so I can take my dogs (with the official paperwork, changed again today) to the forest 6kms away to walk for theirs and my health, never see a soul. My daughter doesn't call on me now though, her husband is a bit of a hypochondriac, although thye live in the sticks too so safer than anywhere else.
Hi it’s me back again! My boss wants me to stay home because of my age like his mom. I didn’t want to but I don’t want to worry him. The government here just passed the final aid package and unemployment is working with employers to make sure we end up being paid our regular salary so I won’t have to worry about that. But it’s going to be a challenge for me with anxiety and depression. At least I can keep my appointment with my therapist by phone and I have a lot to do around the house for spring. Maybe I’ll actually get some of it done. Thank heavens for this group!
Hi
I had to take ill health retirement in June 2018. If I was still working I would be in rotor system as there are children of key workers and also very vulnerable children of which we had many. I think teachers and any other workers who still have to work deserve recognition too but I do know that the NHS deserve more recognition than ever. Everyone should be treating each other with respect. My hubby is a key worker and on his way home he has seen people young and old huddled together, he has yelled at them to go home but just gets lots of abuse!! Take care and stay safe. Love and hugs Lynne xxxx
