Never!!!I have my bread buttered but I never dunk it in my soup. I usually have a half a baguette with it although sometimes I will have some sort of flavoured bread- like a herb or cheesy focaccia 😁🐰
I do it all. I dunk but also use a spoon 🥄 for soup and bread 🍞 afterwards. What do u do?
No it’d be awful greasy to me if I dunked it with butter,I like to break my dry bread into my soup give a stir then eat using my spoon.
Neat, neat... I also like that. I do all
Hi actually I like a cheese sandwhich dunked in lol I must get on now only had quick peep and here I am replying hope you have a nice day got lot to do as moved back home pixies asleep settles easy last night this is him this morning I know you like him so I'll show you 🤗🐯🐆🌻xx
Lol he’s like my 4 what hard lives they have Not! I usually have one on each corner of the bed and the youngest cuddled into my arms but when I move house and they can go out to play again they’re all banned from bedroom they’ll be relegated to their own beds.I only have them beside me for cuddle time each night then they go downstairs to their own beds they are very clever and know the routine.
Good luck in the house Curly1 you’ll soon settle into your own routine again,it’s nice having your own space and pop to mums when you need human company, best of both worlds xx
Oh bless you thank you I feel it will be ok my builder came about some work needs good sproose up outside cladding painting and if I'm ok I'll have loft done its bit cramped in my bedroom and will help sell house when I do move unless I don't hope you have good night I'm reporting a nutter from.syria reckons he's there on a peace mission he won't stop messaging me he may be part of a gang called romance scammers after money xx
Definitely sounds like it. You could take some drastic measures like a whistle. I tend to be a bit too polite and as soon as money is mentioned I put the phone down. Have you by chance signed a petition about Syrian refugees? Often they will insist on a phone number, and get you that way.
Cheers, Midori
Hi it was only on health unlocked on my PMs I told Leah and she said to report it it brought me onto the ones that run the site I had to explain what had been said some lonely ladies would get conned who are naive by these men there in gangs, but to be honest when I hear story's that people have been conned out there life savings and sent money abroad from thinking they have fallen for someone I think there a bit bonkers it's constantly been drumed into don't give money away and about con men women on internet dating were just off shopping I'm tired been up since 7 need early night it's cold and grey here 😊🐯
Hope it went well for you last night Mandy, I echo what Daisydot says.
Yes I was ok thanks another days gone and were snug in my bed again waiting for my soaps to come on hope you have good night xx
I’m glad you’re OK, enjoy your soaps.🙂
I do dunk bread in soup but I don’t put butter on it 😄
I dunk grilled cheese mmmm
I most definitely do dunk buttered (or unbuttered) bread in my soup! I also tear it into small pieces and throw a few at a time into the soup. Reckless, I know! Don't know if it's relevant but I am half English, half Irish, grew up in England! 🙂🌸
Hi Marnie try a cheese sandwhich i do what you do with bits thrown in too, I must have Irish ancestors hence my name I'll PM you it later and aren't green eyes a trait too Irish have a strange sense humour too lol one of my fav comedians is Dave Allen do you remember him, were just going shopping 😊🐯🌻
Yes, I remember Dave Allen. Enjoy your shopping trip. 🙂🌸
I dunk buttered toast whilst the soup is cooling down enough to eat with a spoon!😋😋 xx
Yum! 😋🌸
Well you cant just sit there looking at it can you?!!😆😆 xx
Of course not! Especially when the toast starts staring back at you......or is that just me? 😆🌸
😁 I have been known to in the past! My OH and son still do. I tend to have my soup, then if I'm still hungry, which undoubtedly I always am, I'll have some bread after. Xxx
I just had my soup with brown bread there broken up through it,it was lovely, then a mini chocolate bar after lol that’s my lunch out the way.x
Oh don't! I've just had mine too, but now I want yours!😁 Have a lovely afternoon. Xxx
Thank you,you too xx
Talking of bread !!!!!
Brilliant ty lol x
Sorry for taking over your post Daisydot 😘 the Bazzak baiters always pick on me !!😁💕
That's right. Blame us as usual. You always hijack posts 😘
You are making me sound like Dick Turpin!!😁😁😘
Stand and deliver😁😘
I'd say Dick something else not Turpin lol 😁😁
I don't dunk anything. Can't bear anything to be soggy. Firm for me 😁🐰

Will you just go away and stop stirring 🙄🐰
Kneading darling kneading, we are talking bread !😊😘 and don't try and butter me up, it won't work!!😉😘
Stop it!
Why me? I was only talking about how I don't like soggy biscuits and he started pilking on me🐰
Marilyn! How are you young lady good I hope 😘 here are a few photos of the tunnels under the Interchange at Camden I was telling you about🙂
Told you I used to live in Camden, am I there?
There were some strange things down there 😁😘
We live just up the road from Camden Town, so much history in the area xx
Love Camden. Actually we were more in Chalk Farm. That was back when I was 21! Many, many, many years ago! Xxx
Wow that's a coincidence, we live more the other way, up towards Kentish Town, Camden is very trendy now! The place to be for the nightlife if you're the right age😂 my mates and I still go down there occasionally for a game of bingo (or we did) 🙄
Know Kentish Town well, or did, last time I was there was 1995. Camden was already very trendy when I was there in 1985, fantastic nightlife and markets etc. Used to see Rik Mayall quite a bit there, think he lived in Kentish Town. And some from Eastenders, amongst others. Got chatted up by one of them in the Hawley Arms!😁 Xxx
Ah the Hawley, Amy's hangout 😊😔xx
Yep, one of mine too! Oh those were the days!😊 Xxx
Never would have imagined it all closed up Niao, we really need to get out of this lock down its really affecting people so badly this time! xx
I know! Hopefully not too long now! 🤞Trying to remember the places I frequented in KT but for the life if me can't! Xxx
I met my husband in the Kentish Town Forum many years ago and you surely must remember the Assembly House? 😁
They're really cool pics!
I was telling Marilyn, when I worked at the Interchange, I had the keys to the tunnels/catacombs and the staff were always asking me to take them down there. And 90% of those asking were women, it seems the fairer sex like scary thingsmore than us men !!😁😁😘
You referring to yourself there, which would be more scary, catacombs or Bazzak!😁 I'd love to go down there, if I could find another tour guide! Only kidding! 😘😘😘
It used to run a long way in different directions all the way to Morrisons and along the canal to the Euston railway track, but they built new offices by the canal and cut off the tunnels, which was a shame 🙄😘
It is! There must be all manner of hidden 'gems', not jewels, under the streets of London!
The regeneration of Camden, King's X and Euston has been extensive! You'd barely recognise them for what they were, it's a shame xx
It is a shame, they are planning this next, but I may be a good thing 😘
Like Soho :Berwick St, Wardour St area- lost all its character.
It's so sad Maria Camden had its own unique atmosphere even before the stables Market and that sprung up, its already changed so much it doesn't need any more done to it! xx
I never knew Camden. Another 'victim' is the old Spitalfields/ Brick lane areas. Yes, progress can be a good thing, but so much character has been lost.
I know the Berwick St area quite well- my hairdressers was just off it- now in Wardour St and Berwick St had a fantastic market- especially fruit n veg- and so many unique little shops. And characters.
And as for Hertford- well, don't get me started!🐰
My youngest daughter loves Hertfordshire it's her ambition to one day live in Ware? I hope she achieves it, as we've all learnt from this last year we should know what we want to do and go for it! 😘
Absolutely. I'm certainly going to do that.- within reason of course😁I always said I'd never dwell on the past and on the whole I've been very content with my life but over this year I have been reflecting quite a bit. I certainly wish I'd travelled a lot more. Why does she like Ware? It is a nice little town and there's not as much development as in other places.😁🐰
😆
Ignore him 😁🐰
You two! Dear, oh dear, oh dear! 😊
Well he started it miss 🙄🐰
And I will finish it ! 😊😘
😂😂😂😂
I love winding her up😁 she's probably stamping her feet like a spoiled child now 😁😁 I'm asking for it aren't I Niao 🙄😊😘
Yes you are asking for it. Think you can take on the bunny and win, big boy ?
Are you hopping mad ??😁😘
Right that's it I was going to offer to share my chocolate eclair with you as a peace offering but no chance now Bazzy Boy😛🐰
Now Maria! It pains me to say, but I'm not sure I'm buying that one!😁😁😁
Well he always does start trouble. 😁🐰
Me!!!!🤗🤗😘
Awww, anyone would think you're sweet!
Sweet? Him?
In a very sickly kind of manner!
Yes I know what you mean 😁🐰
🤢😁
Anyway- enough of him. Even though we love him really. How are you today?
OK, and yourself? Any plans?
Yep I'm fine thanks. No plans - spent quite a bit of the morning in bed , fatigued, then had a leisurely bath. Just had lunch now going to get Dylan in and watch some stuff I recorded 😁🐰
That sounds nice. I dnt like it mushy either the secret is half and quarter the bread the just drop a broken up quarter at a time into the soup then eat that lot and repeat lol.that just gave me an idea for another thread lol
Yes.... I do it!!!!
😊Yum, homemade lentil soup! Yum to all actually, though I can't have the clam chowder, unless there's a vegan clam!
I drop a slice of Parma ham into my lentil soup Niao then I blend it all when it’s cooked and it’s a lovely smoky lentil and bacon flavour, cheats way I know but quick and tasty in the soup maker.x
Mmmmmmm, I could put in vegan bacon. Xxx
Yes sometimes I put crispy streaky bacon in it,it’s such a nice change everything is so bland these days,I’ve even been doing a jacket potato with curried cauliflower as a filling,I think I had Covid and it killed my taste buds so I seem to want strong flavours in everything.good idea xx
Yum again! That's not nice though, I really do hope it improves! Xxx
I’m ok now thankyou Niao knocked the stuffing out me at the time but it’s just that lack of taste I’m finding with everything.on the plus side it’s making my cooking more interesting lol,xx
Sorry Daisydot, I missed this. I'm sure it did!!
I can't imagine not being able to taste, have had short stints of it in the past, and altered taste due to meds etc. ,but not ongoing like that! Xxx
My Aussie friend bites the ends off Tim Tams then drinks his tea through them like a straw🙄😝In case anyone was wondering - Tim Tams are like Penguin Biscuits.
😅xx
Er no??? Explain please!
We don't have bread with our soup very often Daisydot1. I quite often put bread into soup in the way of croutons, but our household favours a nice buttered cheese scone with our soups.
Now that’s a new one on me too Callendersgal.I love scones but usually as part of a cream tea lol.
It can be for sure, and I'm really thankful there's such a choice these days.
I’m just waiting on my house move completing and I can’t wait to have a garden again but my plan is to grow container vegetables, have you had any success with them or are yours ground dwellers?
I'm English and never dunk buttered bread in soup! Dry bread yes. I do butter my bread but take a bite then have some soup. It may be common in just one part of England but certainly not when I am. Many think English folk are all the same but we all have different customs in different areas.
It’s a bit like all Scots eat deep fried Mars bars ,I’d never even heard of that and lived the first third of my life in Glasgow.
Me too, on and off veggie/vegan most my life. I was used to the Martian stare! Yep it can be hard to ensure good protein levels etc.
😊👍
No never. If I have soup it's always unbuttered bread that I have with it.
Depends who I am with and where I am . In company in a decent venue I rarely have soup but would slice a roll in half , butter and break off pieces . No dipping . At home sometimes folded uncut bread with generous amount of butter to dip in a cup a soup or dish . I know when to behave and when I won't get caught but my family wouldn't notice as they are men who eat fast and furious .
I'm English too. For me it depends on the soup and the bread, I only butter very thinly on sliced toasted bread. French bread I don't.
Cheers, Midori
