I just unloaded the washing, having been visiting my mother the Weekend, and guess what? My Mobile was still in the pocket, of my fleece....I WASHED my phone! Good job it wasn't an expensive one, unless I can 'revive' it....Guess what Santa will be brining me? At least the washing was clean, mind you, so was the phone! Someone has suggested putting it in Dry Rice, for a day or two-I'll try it.....Nothing to lose.

Yes rice does work
Oh dear, Rice does work, but don't switch it on until you are sure it is completely dried out. I've washed my fitbit oedometer a few times as I have forgotten to unclip it from my waistband of my trousers. 
The rice worked on that for me.
I was scrubbing green algae from the sides of my pond last summer and forgot my phone was in my pocket with predictable results. I left it on top of the radiator for a few days and was surprised when it actually worked again. Although it would be a great excuse for an upgrade. Good luck. anne.
HUMMPH, when I washed, my phone, I had to get a new one...Mind you it WAS a full 'Wash Cycle'!
