CT Scan results....

I had a scan done yesterday the focus of the scan was to see if there was any evidence of LVV to support a GCA diagnosis....the results were negative so we are still in the dark as to what is causing the fatigue and weakness in the legs.

Now after doing some reading I wonder whether the leg and fatigue issues are somehow related to my COPD....I was diagnosed with mild COPD this past summer and for the most part I had minor symptoms. I did stop using my puffers when I started the prednisone back in January, I have started using the daily puffer again.

Just spit ballin here to see if there might be a connection!

yes ultimately but the end game is to get a diagnosis one way or another.

Selfishly the wife and I had a lot of travel plans for this year now we are sort of in limbo.

It is a difficult time and hopefully things will improve. 🙂

Hmmmm, I was diagnosed with COPD because of shortness of breath and a failed breathing test. CT scan showed healthy lungs. I have never used anything to help my breathing and it seems to have improved as I taper my Prednisone to nearly nothing as I have PMR. But, I too feel the weakness in my legs and low energy. A recent blood test shows my MCHC has been at the bottom of the range for a couple years and my CO2 is in the moderately high range climbing there from slightly high a couple years ago. I would think these things were all related. Have you had the bloodwork done?

my MCHC has been pretty much normal but my platelet count which is normally low was very very high no doubt bacause of an infection...I have no idea if the COPD is playing a roll in all of this....I have another appointment with my Rhumy on the 15th and I will bring it up....by then I will be 10 days into my 20mg prednisone taper I hope 20mg goes smoothly!

You'd think that in this day and age answers would be easier to come by. Doesn't anyone have a data base that keeps track of symptoms that might go together and point to health issues???

Wouldn't that be great...I think my Rhumy is just throwing darts....she thought my symptoms were from spinal stenosis nope spine is fine...
