CT scan update

Have not given an update lately about my stomach pain and CT scan. I had the scan at the end of July and got the results on Monday. Good news is that my organs are all ok and there doesn’t seem to be any sign of diverticular disease. GP is wondering now if it might be IBS, so has requested blood tests to rule out coeliac disease. So I’m now waiting for blood tests in 3 weeks time. In the meantime, I’m doing a slow taper from 7mg to 6.5mg of Pred. Will update regarding blood tests.

Thank you. I’m relieved the organs are ok. I was thinking it might be diverticular disease, but the GP seemed to rule that out. At the moment it feels like “ so far so good”. Fingers crossed for the next stage. Wish I could get the blood tests done sooner, but there we are.

It’s a huge relief Indigo , none of us enjoy tests and waiting. The main thing is your organs are healthy.

My daughter was found to have Diverticular pockets when she had a colonoscopy. My son in law gets acute flares , has a bag of IV antibiotics at the hospital, then he’s fine, but he’s in agony with the pain it causes beforehand and he’s a Royal Marine. Pain is pain regardless.

I try to avoid Gluten from having IBS symptoms,, even though it’s probably not necessary, but don’t like the thought of it anyway.

I’m sure your bloods will be fine Indigo and relieved the GP is ruling things out ,you just need answers now. Take care xx

That's good news, hopefully the blood tests will come back sooner rather than later.

I don’t think the results will take too long. Its just the wait to get them done.
