possibly forgotten steroid dose.

It won't hurt to take another - if you didn't take it, it will be right, if you DID take it, you'll have an extra good day!
This is when we say it is a good idea to get a dosette box so that you can sit quietly and set it up for a week or a month in advance and then you can see at a glance if you have taken todays tablets!

If you have a lot of medications, some pharmacies will deliver your tablets ready dispensed into a pill box but if it is just the pred you can can get all sorts on Amazon for weekly set-up or multiple ones for the month. Just google it.
I fill a dosette box daily with medications, vitamins, and supplements. I just did a calculation, and I'm going to hit a personal record for the most pills taken in one month - 336! Part of the reason for the high number is tapering through 9 and 8 mg prednisone, so using lots of 1 mg pred.
Hi that’s a lot!! How come you are not combining enteric coated 2.5 or 5mg tablets? You would be using less pills?
I'm taking a regular 5 mg and enough 1 mgs to make up the dose (currently 8 mg). I take Pantoprazole, so I don't take enteric coated. I'm taking lots of medications, vitamins, and supplements - bp med, aspirin, calcium/D3/K2, magnesium, etc.
Oops, forgot the 2 thyroid meds. That makes the total 392 pills in a month.

As it’s still morning, maybe take 5mg in case you didn’t… won’t harm to have a double dose on the odd day, better than none!
But get yourself a dosette box [not expensive] and available at pharmacies and online. Then sit down at a quiet time and sort out your weekly tabs - then you can see at a glance what you have taken each day.
When i was splitting my dosage to three doses a day I always took a picture with my smartphone. This was timestamped and proved invaluable the few times when I got a bit confused
I have an Apple iPhone and I've put all my meds in the app. It's the one which is white and with a heart in the top left. I'm sure Samsung would probably have its own system.
It's very detailed what you enter into the app. You tell it when you need to take any particular medication, times and regulatory.
Mine reminds me to take what I need at the times of day that I've entered it. It's a Godsend to be honest. Without this I would never take my meds regularly because it's so easy to forget if you have our have not done so. You have to enter 'log as taken' or 'missed'.
Hope this helps
