tendinitis

I have had physio for a shoulder problem which physio felt was a bicep ligament injury. Very slow to improve. I saw something from PMRpro about bicep tendinitis. Just wondering what other treatment may help if this is what I have.

I need enough pred to keep the inflammation under control because mine is definitely part of my PMR.

If it is an injury it may be different:

Thanks for this. This is helpful. I think it’s also part of pmr for me. I’ve been reluctant to go back on prednisone but may need to do so.

If it is part of your PMR then there may be no other option - it is what stopped my tapering after being put on tocilizumab. I'm stable on TCZ every 2 weeks and 7mg pred - and that is all I and my rheumy want.

Thanks. I don’t think I’ll be able to get more tcz (uk) but the pain is quite nasty and affects what I can do so I may have to reconsider steroids again.

The TCZ doesn't manage my bicep pain - TCZ only works for inflammation created by IL-6, The bicep pain must be due to something else.
