Tapering after a flare up of pmr I'm down to 4mg now I've been feeling a lot better after finding out that if I finish off my morning shower with a couple of minutes in cold water I feel incredible and I'm able to do a 4 mile dog walk after that as well 👌

A couple of minutes is impressive. I can manage about 15 seconds and find it invigorating but I don’t think I could build up to two minutes. Well done.

I can manage a quick splash - it is invigorating - but not 2 minutes!

Apparently 30 seconds is enough. I've started doing it after a hot/warm shower and you get used to it! Thought it worth a try - anything possibly anti-inflammatory worth a try?

I don't think I'll be taking that one up lol. But it does correlate with my thoughts that a swim in cool water makes me feel a lot better. I was swimming in an unheated pool in Mexico, which was just a couple of degrees lower than the pool that I swim in normally, and it felt really good, once I got over the initial surprise when I got in.
