Covid and pain relief

So sorry to have to ask this question but I think I read some time ago, something about paracetamol NOT to be taken at the same time as a Covid vaccination. I didn’t have my shot in the Spring because I’d already had so many of them but thought it would be best to have the current one. Unfortunately I was unable to have the Pfizer one (only available to under 18s) so had the Moderna and now ache a lot so could do with some paracetamol.

Just hoping someone can remember this🤞

Thank you

Jan

Suggestion is to take paracetamol for 24-48 hours after any vaccine. No matter what. Advice from sensible and experienced practice nurse way back when.

I’ve done it for donkeys years and it’s always been helpful.

Just for info, I found this Moderna one gave me a bit of a headache... never has before - nor the Pfizer one - have had a mixture of both over last couple years...

I had Moderna once before and felt a bit under the weather after it. No problems with Pfizer. This time I’m already in pain following an accident to my neck so Paracetamol definitely needed!

Not at all - it is what you CAN take. The Italians even did a study on its use and found it was useful!
