I'm not sure if you have the same thoughts as I.

Not sure they'll be valued, though hard to decry.

I'll give it a go and see what you think.

It'll probably sound like I need a large drink.

I'll try not to sound like an angry old man.

Meldrew was famous; I'm not a big fan.

This is my chance so I'd better not blow it.

It'll open the door to rebuke, don't I know it.

I honestly feel as years pass on by,

it's futile to moan , though I really should try.

Failures so public, they act like a fetter.

Given the chance I know I could do better.

Airing mistakes should be done with some humour.

But false protestations can grow like a tumour.

However it's true that I really believe,

some public behaviour's beyond our reprieve.

So there, now I've said it, I hope you'll agree

it's hard to expose such things without glee.

I'm glad that at last I've unburdened my chest.

I'll sleep so much better I've laid them to rest.

Morning to you Bcol. I just thought of all those silly discussions we have all had about what's going wrong. The overheard wisdom in the pub. We all know things are going wrong and we all at some time or other just know we could fix it if only we got the chance. Just imagine, there's 60million of us all thinking this and the same in every country. 😂

As you say conversations we've all had or are having. Perhaps we need to start our own party. Downside of 60 million, is I guess, you could get 60 million different opinions.

I've been told before I should go into politics but it's honestly too late in the day. Besides, I can't see me tolerating the goings on as I see it. Talking is easy but getting down to the hard business of putting things right is a very hard task.

Wouldn't be for me, I couldn't cope with all the double dealing and backstabbing. New law perhaps all MP's have to tell the truth and give a reply to a question that actually answers the question.
