Update: Finally

I transferred my care and had an appointment with a new GP, a female :) She gave me a temporary diagnosis of PMR and TA pending the rheumatologist confirmation on March 19th. My new GP has several patients who see the rheumatologist and she is communicating with him about me :) I was started on prednisone again at 40 mg for three days and then a taper schedule that will have me on 20 mg still when I see the rheumatologist on the 19th. It’s been 26 hours and already getting much needed relief. The rheumatologist will have to be the one to confirm the diagnosis and keep me on prednisone but it’s a start and a big turn in the way things have gone for me. Thank you all again for all the support!

PS Optamologist saw a change in my optic nerve in the last year so that played a part in getting a new doctor and getting on meds

Typo: Rheumatologist appointment is March 19 not May :) Sorry about that and thank you. I’m feeling grateful today

I did wonder about the long time delay.

Yes March is way better than May! I was overly excited to type the post, it’s the best news I have had in awhile :)
