Hi everyone new here. I've just got my bloods back from gp and I have low white cell count (neutrophils) this leaves me open to infection as I'm sure your all aware that is a side effect of Roactemra. The consultant has now stopped my injection for 1 week and then repeat bloods in 4 weeks. My question has this happened anyone here on Roactemra I have GCA

It's good that blood tests caught the problem early. I've suffered low white blood cells when on certain antidepressants. My skin, which requires daily care due to eczema, began to break down. It got better when the dose was lowered.
I too have had a low white cell count due to Roactemra. Twice, actually. First time my weekly injections were paused for a couple of weeks and then resumed. Later the treatments came to a full stop as my doc doubted the effect.
Late 2023 I started on Roactemra again and this time intravenous once a month. The effect once again was a low white cell count. My GP was worried but the specialists at the hospital said "not to worry". I decided to go with the specialists, but must admit I was/am a bit concerned.
However I have suffered no negative effects of the low count (knock on wood). For example raise in infections, skin problems etc.
