Another interesting article from my inbox today! I'm sure you are all aware of the excitement about the gut microbiome and also that some people get a good result with MTX and others don't. Maybe the two are linked:
Is this why MTX works for some and not for others? - PMRGCAuk
Is this why MTX works for some and not for others?

That's really interesting. Your on fire today with the research - perhaps you should set up in business and teach the doctors!! Someone has to soon
Thanks for sharing this. My recent reading of the book "A Silent Fire" helped me better grasp the terms used in this article.
I have been curious why I responded "favorably" to MTX, while others could not tolerate it. I guessed that perhaps I had another underlying autoimmune condition (other than PMR), but perhaps it is due to my gut microbiome??
I was reading something very similar yesterday about gut biome and RA.
Great find, thank you
I have no experience of methotrexate
thank you very interesting. Followed up on butyrate and came back to basically the Mediterranean diet. ! Fiber rich and well hydrated confirmed. Very glad to see the medical profession looking more into gut health.
Great read, thank you. That Clifton O. Bingham 111 gets around!
