I found this an interesting listen. PMR and GCA weren't mentioned specifically, but the life-style advice given by Prof Janet Lord to manage inflammation and the explanation of what happens in our bodies as we age were useful. Here's a link if anyone wants to listen:

And a very happy new year to everyone here 🥂!

very interesting, especially the part about not sitting for longer than one hour at a time. Thanks for posting the info

Thanks for this…just listened and found it very interesting. I already do some of the things suggested and walk most days but will now try not to sit for more than an hour at a time!

Thankyou for highlighting this podcast which I found enlightening, especially the not sitting still too long and having a period of fasting between supper and late breakfast.

I do wonder how much of this information relates to people who do not already have an autoimmune inflammatory condition and strive to avoid one. Are the steps discussed on this podcast equally beneficial to people with an established condition which is managed with drugs like prednisolone? Sorry if I am being a bit obtuse, I get confused about other ways of supporting our already inflamed systems when pred has already reduced the inflammation (in theory!) Every little helps I guess .

Thank you for posting the link. Really interesting with practical things to do. I was surprised by the 10,000 steps research and ‘not sitting still’ for more than hour. More trips to the kettle 😀

.. or using the old fashioned way of changing the tv channels rather that the remote control… but not sure that’s even possible nowadays!🤦🏻‍♀️

Probably only if you put the remote in front of the TV!

Problem with that is much like putting your glasses down.. and then forgetting where you put them.🤨 .. or having too many remotes! Drives me bonkers…. 😜

Still at least it keeps you active I suppose… hope you’re feeling okay…
