Can I take predisolone for PMR and have shockwave therapy for foot arthritis. Or will one affect the other?

Why should they? There are other things that are contraindications but I have had successful extracorporeal shockwave therapy for hip bursitis despite them with no problems. Pred was never mentioned as a problem.

I was just told not to take an anti inflammatory after the shockwave treatment. I just wondered if pred was classed as a super strength anti inflammatory? How painful are the treatments? Feet are very sensitive but I’m considering trying the shock wave.

That usually means NSAIDs. I certainly didn't stop my pred! But you would have to ask the operator in advance.

It is painful as it "finds" the tissue it is "releasing" - but the intensity is adjustable and it isn't horrendous, just a fleeting "ouch" each time and if it was too much, my guy offered to reduce the setting. He starts low and works up aiming for maximum, but not necessarily on the first treatment.
