I have been diagnosed with "eyeball surface wrinkles" for lack of the medical name for it. My opthomologist gave me fluorometholone drops. I'm still on 7mg pred after four years with both PMR & GCA (I told her that). Am I remembering correctly that this can lead to tendonitis in people who are on long term pred? I'm hoping I'm wrong.
Boy, you know you're getting old when even your eyeballs get wrinkles!

I had a quick google and could not find a connection or contraindication with Pred. Your patient information leaflet is worth reading. A pharmacist may be able to tell you.
Thanks Jane! After thinking more, I now remember that it was a certain class of antibiotics that were a problem with tendonitis. The condition I currently have is called conjunctivochalasis and is usually caused by long-term dry eye.
Hi, I used to get this. It was when I had a cat with thick, very fine fur, which used to get in my eyes. It was difficult to see to get out. My eyes would react by forming a kind of wrinkly blister on the surface. Just using ordinary, over the counter eye drops helped, like dry eyes. But it was only temporary. Yours sounds more permanent.
