I thought you might like to see this clip from German TV - Torsten is the son of one of my best friends in Germany. He was in NY studying music and on his way to the Towers station on 9/11 and was amongst the crowds in Times Square when they were thrown off the trains. He'd overslept, if he hadn't, he'd have been on site when it all happened, He has alopaecia universalis, an autoimmune condition that started in his early 30s I think and he hid away, hasn't a hair on his body and the song (in English) is about the step of acceptance - "it's only hair", Sorry the rest is in German! But he does have an English website

Both parents are very musical, His father is a member of a barber shop group - the oldest in Germany! I'll be seeing them week after next - all our children grew up together to the end of primary school when I returned to the UK. It is a special bond.

It was the lyrics I posted it for really. This was a young man just starting to make a name for himself on the European music scene and suddenly all his hair fell out - and believe me, he had a mass of dark curly hair. Of course everyone assumes hair loss like that has to be chemo for cancer. So they don't know what to say, And he needed to get up on the stage in front of large numbers of fans and perform. If he can accept it - don't think any of us can complain too much.

Schönes Lied! I'll share it with a friend whose son suffered the same, at 16.
