True - heading relentlessly for 34C here again ... It was already 25C at 10,30 when I ventured out. This is silly in late August!

Thanks, yes I've got lots of gadgets and a very helpful OT .She is great and already helped me when we thought I was having the operation first time round.😊🌹

Best wishes for the hip in September. As well as ‘grabber’, used strong leather belt as leg lifter, brill, and the most wonderful ‘trouser up puller’ made of linked bungees with bulldog clips at either end. Clip to trouser/joggers and ‘hey presto’! ‘Fond’ memories of broken hip rehab in the garden in Spain, last November

All the very best for your operation. I had mine a year ago....it's been wonderful to now be painfree. Please , if you haven't already , read DL's excellent hints on coping after hip replacement surgery. I was very glad I did and found it so helpful and informative. Once again my, and I'm sure everyone's very best wishes.💐
