I've had PMR and GCA since 2018. I'm now at 3.5 mg prednisone. I've developed carpal tunnel - took up knitting and probably surf on my phone too much! Both my feet and hands and wrists are sore and aching. Carpal tunnel explains the hands and wrists, but what about my feet? I have a new rheumy who diagnosed the carpal tunnel and had me go to 10 mg for a week, about a month ago. The carpal tunnel pain and weakness decreased quite a bit, but didn't go away.
I would appreciate any help with what might be causing my aching, sore feet.
Thanks so much! This forum has been so helpful through my PRM/GCA journey.

I would like to compliment you on your knitting Viola1, it’s beautiful.
I sympathise with you regarding your feet, I have been having problems for some time. Have been told that mine is being caused by inflammatory arthritis/spinal stenosis.
Does your new rheumy have any thoughts on what might be causing your sore aching feet?
I hope you find the answer and some respite very soon. 🤞😊
My feet burn at night and sometimes ache in the daytime. I must also seek yet another diagnosis. My husband massages them with a foot gel which really helps. 5 Kind Natural Foot Gel available at Amazon. We get through pots of it.
I suspect it possibly isn't just CT but the 3.5mg is just slightly too low so inflammation is building up and 10mg for just a week wasn't quite enough, But there could be osteoarthritis pain too - pred masks that as well.
same here—sore and achy hands and feet. Going up on pred is no help at all. There’s no swelling nor joint pain in either of them. For my hands I’m thinking it might be lifting my iPad all the time, picking up heavy books to read several times during the day, carrying a watering can to water plants, etc. and feet…well, they’re moving all the time; straps bother them, lace up shoes bother them, etc. I’ve got muscle wasting, my poor hands and feet look bony and scary—Halloween appendages. Btw, love your knit products, so talented!
