Losing strength in hands and wrists.

Much more aware of this, this time around and have been forgetting. My hands and wrists are not feeling strong and I am currently in pain. I think I have strained my left hand over my 20 month old Carpal Tunnel surgery scar. Very sore and not really responding to analgesia. I can't even tell you what I have done to strain it....only been doing my normal kitchen activities.

Will wear wrist support tonight after a massage with P.I.G. (Black Pepper, Immortelle and Ginger Essential oils in ointment). Hoping that by tomorrow it will be back to normal.

Have you been using them more than usual? Even now, years in, I know I will suffer when I make the brandy butter and mincepies! My hands do not like being used! And the diagnonal pain from outside elbow to inside wrist will remind me of what it was like with unmanaged PMR.

No, not that I am aware of. Much better today after a night with support and PIG.

Is that French? Sounds like something for cooking at first sight ;-) but sounds a useful acquisition...

Yes - I meant is it a French salve? I looked Immortelle up, but black pepper and ginger oil sounds delicious...

Hello IdasMum, I have been through the same as you in recent weeks toing and froing to GPS not getting anywhere ..I was told it's obviously a virus on top of your PMR putting me up to 17mg steroid from 13.O5 but my pain got worse. My arms, hands ,shoulders unbearable pain. Yesterday I had an appointment with my Rheumatologist and was given a Depo medrone injection and to take 15mg steroid orally .It has eased it considerably but just a niggle there .I have found it very upsetting because I can't knit or crochet which is my hobby and helps to keep my mind off my pain..I hope it eases for you Best wishes trish29

Much better today and pain not enough to need more treatment. Would have gone back to GP next week if it had continued. Thanks for your thoughts.

No...not French. I sell it through my NYRO shop. Great analgesic properties.

It's not cheap but 2 or 3 drops go a long way. Much prefer to using the prescribed, heavy duty analgesic creams.
