Yes, many things can caused a raised CRP, even a cold. It just means there is inflammation in the body. I would not be too worried about 6.5. I am sure it will reduce when you get your UTI sorted out.
Yes...every time. A month ago mine went up to 42. I'm now on anti-biotic for whatever infection is causing inflammation because they can't pinpoint it. Eye roll. Probably a UTI or diverticulitis. Yours will probably drop when the UTI is cleared up. Mine is at 3 as of last Monday.
I agree with others re infection. My CRP is a problem:54 before diagnosis, then over a period of time 18, 11, and 8 twice. Lately, because of extreme pain in hands, wrists and particularly arms when lying down, (consequently sleep has become a problem), I had bloods taken. CRP now 13. Not really surprised because of arms. Have an appt on Saturday with a new rheumie.
Thank you my CRP was 43 May 2022 when diagnosed, but has been below 1 since poss due to steroids. I had my bloods taken a couple of weeks ago as well for rheumatology as had my appointment cancelled in May and moved to August. I did speak to rheumatologist secretary who advised if any problems with blood results rheumatology would send letter.
