HiI am currently taking 7.5 mg am and 0.75 pm of prednisone and been at this level for a few weeks. During the past week I have had episodes of fuzzy head and pressure/tightness on the top of my head. These come and go during the day for no reason that I know of. Any one have any insights as to what is going on?

Fuzzy head and top of head pressure that comes and goes???
It may be a threatened flare. I usually look back for physical or emotional stress as a clue, establish that paracetamol doesn’t work, if not, I would then take a couple of mgs extra for a week or so and try going back straight away, hopefully having nipped the issue in the bud.
Could this be due to adrenal flutter?
Not something that is usually recognised as a symptom of adrenals stuttering… but never say never.
As you don’t seem to have issues with neck/shoulders which could cause head problems, think you need to discuss with doctor and investigate further.
On a different note, bit bemused by your split dose -seems very odd.. more usual is 2/3rd am & 1/3rd pm or 50/50.. any reason why -or is it just because you have reduced evening dose only?
How is your neck and shoulder area?
I'm confused about your dose. Are you saying you are on a total daily dose of 8.25mg? While dose splitting helps some people, it would be unusual to take such a low dose of 0.75mg in the evening.
Yes I am currently taking 8.25 mg daily. I guess my body is used to the evening dose. I have been trying to eliminate the pm dose but have struggled. The only thing I can think of is my body is used to a pm dose and a slight change in the amount affects the pains I feel. When I was taking 70 mg last August the dose was split to get better 24 hour pain relief and it worked. A few weeks ago I had a flair and the Doctor suggested I up my evening dose slightly and work on lowering the am dose further and it seemed to make the difference. I was at 0.5 mg pm then. The small change did make a pain/discomfort difference in the evening.
