The verge opposite my flat. Better than a garden for me because I don't have to do anything! Just watch the locals going about their business, many species of birds, squirrels, and of course look beyond to the Downs, which is a much better view in RL than in this pic. Sit in the forecourt, sit on numerous low walls.

My 'garden'
I think if you can see trees, flowers, birds etc, it doesn't matter that its not in your own garden. What's important is just being able to see them.
when Gran was bedbound in a home for the elderly we played bird song CDs for her and she loved it.
Lovely
looks ideal! Xx
That's lovely and no effort. Have you thought of sprinkling a few packets of wildflower seeds in and amongst? I won't tell ......................
In this fair city they'd probably give me an award for rewilding. Some quite large four-footed friends too, big dog-fox, only see him in the early hours doing his rounds of the bins. Useful when - I wasn't well, I didn't feel like eating, I had meat in the fridge I couldn't refreeze, so I solemnly placed it in the middle of the verge. Vanished like magic!
Oh that's lovely, well done you.
Food should not be wasted! Now, if I can just work out how to feed the tiny birds - I live in a block of flats with an area so inevitably if I hung any kind of feeder on the window-sill, droppings would rapidly decorate the area and I don't think the guys in the basement flat would appreciate that!
