Fever

Does anyone else experience intermittent fevers? I’ve no other symptoms of illness , a cough, sore throat or cold, just severe fatigue. The fever lasts on and off for 2 or 3 days, then goes for a few weeks, only to return again. I’d be really interested to know if this comes with Polymyalgia .

I have regular afternoon and early evening temperature spikes. It’s a classic manifestation of my condition Adult Onset Stills Disease which for me is RD. I should add that fever is always accompanied by a sore throat another hallmark of Stills. I do not have PMR but some of my symptoms are similar.

I tend to feel the cold during the day, but at night I get very hot, and feel quite feverish. In the morning I feel like I’m coming up for air. It happens usually for a few days every couple of weeks.

I’m afraid I don’t know the cause…..🤷‍♀️

Yes before I was medicated I had regular night fevers waking up with pj's wet. Still occasional burning up. Def came with PMR ....

It is more common in GCA or LVV (large vessel vasculitis) but a few people with PMR report them too - though one does have to ask if their PMR symptoms are due to undiagnosed LVV.
