Humble pie

After worrying about interrupting my sleep by getting up early in the morning to take my steroids, I changed to 8 a.m. Some aches and pains returned and I felt tired. I am now back to taking my steroids in the early hours and feel much more energetic etc. As I originally suggested changing to 8 a.m. I must now take a liberal portion of humble pie!

We are all different and it is worth trying new times at different stages.

Yes, I think I was worried about tiredness initially. As you imply, though I feel a lot better, adjusting times could be useful.

Everyone is different - and it sounds as if you are barely lasting 24 hours with the antiinflammatory effect. Maybe a small split would improve it and reduce the need for the alarm??

Hello,

I feel better now, but if the same symptoms return will get in touch with Health Unlocked. Thank you.

I was in the same boat as you and decided to split my dose (2/3 at 11pm in enteric capsules to be onboard by 2am, and 1/3 at 11am). I did try getting up at 2am but found it problematic so I bought empty enteric capsules to stuff with my uncoated pred. I see you live in the UK, any chance you can get coated pred to take late evening so you don’t have to get up in the middle of the night? That way your pred dose will be onboard before 4am and hopefully alleviate some of the morning stiffness and tiredness .

Thank you. This is certainly worth considering.
