Naming ceremony

Very uplifted by oncoming event saturday. Travelling down the day before to sort things and rest. Get together meal with good friends whom I haven't seen for years night before. Stunned at the total commitment of the club I formed to honour me for creating their facility. Should be a real success as so many appear to be coming to race on Saturday from across the country. So looking forward to it. Will be shattered when back in Durham.

Mr. blobby's weekend report. Wonderful event. Oversubscribed field so split into A and B races. Jez Cox who commentates for Eurosport was doing that job. 2 National champions were racing elite one being Andrew Leverton who is BC sprint coach now and who I started when 13years old. the original junior boys squad all there still friends now grown up. Jon in formula 1 engineering advanced engines, cameron for BA flown around the world to analyse systems to determine why the plane is grounded, Theo who is in advanced engineering and Bryn who is in advanced maths analysing algorithms at UCL for applications. So many friends not seen for years and all the warmth and kind words of genuine gratitude for what I made happen but never once thought of how so many would want to do this . I only ever wanted to make a safe place to train young people to compete and grow.
