Low platelets

Hi everybody, I have posted this on the AF forum as it sits there because I am on an anticoagulant for afib. However, because I suffer from PMR and I am on prednisolone I thought maybe others may have my recent problem. My blood results have come back with ESR at 17 which I am told is within the normal range. My platelets have come back low at 116 (normal 150 - 400). My GP has requested another test in a month's time and doesn't seem overly concerned. As I take the anticoagulant along with Famotidine to protect my stomach it worries me as all three seem to increase bleeding risk. The discovery of Famotidine doing this was from reading the side effects leaflet.

I know some of you have both my conditions, so has anyone else had this dilemma/problem?

Not that I know of - don't actually get blood tests that often though! Have you had any infections recently?
