Adrenals or that dripping tap?

Hello Friends, it’s me again. I have been thinking about asking you all but then I come good and think no need, and then I change and so here I am. I have been off pred now for 7 weeks, still having 3 weekly TCZ. My taper was extremely slow, right down to .25mg reductions. I have not had a return of PMR/LVV type pain, but it feels as though every little thing that may have been masked by pred for the last 4+ years has come to the surface, as though my aging has been hidden under the comfort blanket of prednisone, which has now been lifted. My knees (torn meniscus), one wrist/thumb and sometimes lower back have been tender. All are relieved with 200mg ibuprofen, so I have not been too concerned. I was having bad headaches, but these seem to have subsided, but the main thing is fatigue or lack of energy. It’s not debilitating and if I press on then I’m fine, but if I lie down, then my body really relaxes into a rest. I guess I just feel weakened. What do you think … adrenals? 🤞

Probably adrenals, well known fact they can take anything between 6 months to a year to be back to normal function….and other aches and pains [as you have identified] are probably due to real life without Pred. But just monitor the headaches…and obviously if they continue get them checked out.

Thanks DL, I will. Adrenals are strange, I thought mine must be OK, but seems even the tiniest bit of pred can make a difference.
