I got my bracelet from Amazon. You can make a card. Or try downloading one from the internet, type in 'steroid card'. There are alerts you can put on your phone too.

Hi the link below takes you to information regarding your Adrenal glands which also has link to the steroid card. This is,though, the UK card I don't know if the the USA has similar or something different. Like Piglette my bracelet came from Amazon, I'm sure ebay will have similar options.h

As far as I know, here in the US, you have to buy your own steroid alert bracelet. Interestingly enough, my rheumy never told me about it, my primary did. I bought mine from Amazon.

Yes, we have to buy our own bracelets, but get the cards.

I received a card through the post after joining and donating to PMR GCA uk. Also my doctor said they would issue one after 3 weeks.

I ordered a purple (hard to miss!) bracelet from The ID Company Limited. On one side Medical Alert, and on the inside you can write 3 lines of your choosing. I put that I am taking steroids, not to stop, and the contact number of my next of kin, using ICE (In Case of Emergency), which should be in all of our mobile contacts. Good luck! theidbandco.com

Just look online - loads of options….depends if you just want a simple bracelet or your information stored so the emergency services can access it from a central hub.

Medical alert bracelets are an internet purchase,

I assume by PMR card you mean a steroid card? There are two in the UK, a blue one to list your ongoing dose and a newer red one as an alert to healthcare professionals that the patient is at risk of adrenal issues.

There is also a standardised European emergency card

ese-hormones.org/for-patien...

and also the Australian endocrinology society has information

endocrinesociety.org.au/res...

This Society is US based:

endocrine.org/clinical-prac...

but does not appear to provide resources for patients. So I imagine the only thing you can do is list it on your medic alert bracelet and on the Health page on your phone. And of course you can download one of the UK or EUropean cards and carry it.

Despite a drive in the UK to make patients and HCPs more aware of adrenal insufficiency, it doesn't appear to have achieved much if this is anything to go by:

I ordered mine through American Medical ID. They have sales all the time.

hi Christi, As everyone has already said, bracelets from our friendly online place. I first read about the blue card and that I would get it with my prescription, so I asked for a couple the next time. Given immediately. One for my purse and one for the car.

If you’re a member of the charity, they usually send one each year you renew membership.
