Hello. Was wondering if anyone else gets an ache all over their body? It’s hard to describe but feels like my whole body is hurting. No one location just an ache that throbs. Do f get it every day but when it comes it’s deadly and makes soo g anything at all very hard indeed. Just lifting arms an effort.
I am slowly slowly reducing from 5.5 to 5 mg and wondering if this is adrenal issue? Or a PMR issue? Or is it just me🥺. Thanks GA

Thanks that’s a good description. Cloud ache. No distinct substance but definitely there. Best I can get to is like having that flu ache but not quite so bad - I’d get up for a £50 note with this but not when I had flu - proper!
Thanks DL. I thought it maybe adrenals but wasn’t sure. Have re read the post you linked, very useful. Not sure I have weight loss and lack of appetite (might be a sliver lining if I do 😆) but certainly got the aches and tiredness. Will see how I go and keep going down super slowly as per your taper plan. 🙏
i've reduced to 7.5mg from 8mg, been on 7.5mg for 14 days and want to start very very dsns slow taper to 7mg but aches all over, mostly shoulders, spine and hips. Worse in morning, eases a little then returns in evening, find too much sitting isn't a great idea as get stiffer. Does this sound like adrenal stuff had thought maybe a bit early in the taper for that? Want to drop to 7mg on Friday as a quiet day, just 1 7mg then 5 7.5mg. Should I wait or just get on with it? Paracetamol maybe takes the edge off but not much.
Difficult at this stage to know if it is the PMR or the adrenals - it can be a real balancing act. The adrenal problem can start to manifest as early as 10mg doses - everyone is different and it varies.
As PMRpro says could be adrenals...7.5mg is often quoted, but it's a average really - anywhen between 5-10mg - and maybe outside those figures for some individuals.
If paracetamol isn't doing much, I would be inclined to hold off tapering for another few week, and the review the situation as the song goes!
Thanks very much to Grannyasbo for raising this and for all of your very very helpful replies. Agree with you all and maybe some of my aches are just age related! At least I am still able to get out with my dog twice a day although can be rather tough in the mornings. Winter doesn't help but feel you have to keep moving! Thanks all.
Yes, I get an all over ache every time the leccy/water/rates bills come through the door. Seriously, sounds like your on your adrenal journey, so, stay strong and best of luck,
