decreasing and diarrhoea

If you have IBS as well as PMR , or any other illness that needs medications and dose changes, it is not common to have either diarrhea or constipation when your stomach and digestive system adjusts to the change.IBS makes us even more sensitive to the change in things we eat or take .
Your body and brain is also reacting to the change , it needs to work harder getting used to the difference and modifying all the processes it does so Fatigue , lack of energy or motivation and the odd twinges or mild headaches are common symptoms we can have for a few days to a week with each new taper.
Try eating simpler , nutrient rich , small sized meals and drink lots of fluids in the week before and after your dose decrease it can help reduce these symptoms.
Take care , Bee
This all sounds recognisably normal. Lots of self care as Bee says. Plenty of cosy rests and old movies.
thank you
If our doesn’t settle, see your doctor. I ended up developing colitis and celiac!
