Thank you to everyone who commented on my post last week about what I could/should expect from my initial rheumatology appointment. I took on board all of your advice & went with an open mind, my notes & a list of questions.
The appointment went just as you all said it would so no suprises or stress. The Dr was very kind, he asked me lots of questions & listened to me, he gave me an examination & answered the questions that I had. He confirmed that he felt that the GP’s diagnosis of PMR was correct and discussed with me a taper plan for my dosage of Pred. He booked me in for further blood tests & an X-ray which I had on the same day before leaving the hospital & booked me a review appointment in 8 weeks time.
So all in all a very supportive & efficient process & im incredibly grateful to my GP for quickly identifying what my problem may be and to everyone in this group for their support.
