Thank You Is All I Can Say

I wish there was a "Reply All" button ! I just wanted to thank all of you who responded to my Post "How Much Can I Bear?". Your comforting words and sympathy has meant so much to me at what has been the most difficult and harrowing time of my life.

I have always known this was an amazingly supportive community and you have proved yourself yet again.

The Memorial Celebration a week ago today (photo attached of the lawn with coloured rugs before the 300 or so people arrived) was cathartic and beautiful. So many people spoke and I managed to get through my poem written especially for him with only a couple of breakdowns....... My son (my grandson's father) is a muso and so the Celebration started with "Blackbird" and ended with "Lean on Me". I felt privilged to be present.

I upped my steroids to 5 mgs to get me through as some of you suggested and I am now back on 3 mgs where I have been for some weeks. I am now back on 3mgs - the exhaustion of grief and adrenal insufficiency is pretty debilitating but simply has to be got through.

The support from friends and my amazing family has been incredible but knowing that you too my H/U Family are there for me is wonderful,

Thank You..

Your memorial sounds just wonderful. In my experience the memory of it gets more and more comforting as time goes by. ❤️

Thanks for this update - so pleased the day went as well as it could… but you still need to care for yourself…as you say grief and a/i are debilitating-so just (old cliche, but true) take each day as it comes.

Some days will be better than others, and sometimes the most innocuous sight, sound or thought knocks you completely for six.

That’s natural, so don’t try and blank it out, yes you do need to get through it, but you also need to be gentle on yourself. 🌸
