Missed daily Dose of Prednisolone

I forgot to take my daily dose today (15mg). The last dose I had was yesterday at 8am. It is now 5.30pm today. I have now taken todays dose but during the day my aches have returned and I have shaky arms and hands. Will these symptoms pass soon?

If you have now taken today's dose things should improve within an hour or two. Prednisolone is ready to go as soon as it is in the bloodstream which should take about an hour on a not too full stomach - prednisone would take about an hour longer as it must not only be absorbed but also be processed by the liver,

You'll probably feel fine by the time you want to go to bed!!!

Just carry on as normal, most of us have done it and swear it will never happen again, unfortunately it quite often does!!

I have forgotten a few times. Rather than aches and pains I start getting a weird feeling in my head, like electricity. I also feel rather feverish. That only happens when I forget my pred, so it is a useful reminder, and happens around 5.30pm. After taking my pred I feel better within 10 minutes.

I have cell phone alarms to take the pred as I have forgotten 3 times - haven't missed a dose since using the daily alarms.

That will come - it will go and you'll switch it off and not take the tablets!!!! I've done it a few times ...

I have a second reminder an hour later just in case 😉 I miss the first one.

Previously I did exactly what you said so I added a second one.
