Missed prednisolone dose?

Can anyone help with an urgent query.

I’m on 10 mg prednisolone daily but am away from home and have forgotten my meds... I usually take them in the morning around 10 - I will be home by 1 ish - will I be ok?

I’ve been taking this dose for about 18 months.

Any advice much appreciated.

You will be ok if you take your meds at 1pm tomorrow afternoon instead of 10am tomorrow morning.May I ask why you have been on this dose for 18months?

You will no doubt feel fairly uncomfortable, but probably no worse than that, but as jinasc says keep spare in handbag/purse in future.

I usually take mine 9am, the other day I forgot & took them 1pm ish. No problems, that wasn’t the first time either though I am quite careful.

I set the alarm on my phone. It's often been my savior!

Thanks to everyone for replies - I have now caught up with the doses - I was fine though i did start to feel pretty tired in the afternoon . I will heed all the good advice about keeping an emergency dose in my purse!

I can sometimes forget my dose, occasionally up to 4 hours and don't notice much difference. It makes me confused as to when the effects key in. This makes me think that maybe the times that I take my split dose (14/6: 2pm and 2am) are perhaps not the best. Any thoughts or suggestions?
