Could be linked with fatigue ? I know when I am really tired I get an aching throat almost like my throat muscles are on a go slow !
I certainly had a hoarse voice earlier on in my PMR and found that I could no longer sing to my grandchildren. It seems to have improved now that I am on lower dose Prednisalone. Perhaps have it checked out though because it was triggered by a virus. Are you sure it wasn’t Covid?
I have GCA rather than PMR but I have spent most of the year with a scratchy voice eventually losing it and chest infections. However I saw the nurse practitioner recently and she treated me for oral thrush due to long term steroid use. It cleared the issue with my voice completely.
My mum was a trained singer but lost her singing voice to PMR/GCA.
Could be - but if you had a stinking cold only a month ago it is early days really - as I doubt you have rested your throat 100% to let it get better!
I get this on and off, I think it's fatigue and pred. Can't quite sing like I used to!!!!
