Calling all who live in the USA for support~!

I've been in need several times over the last three years; information, support, and always with more questions than answers. GCA??? What is that? Really? I live in Indiana across the pond.

Just now, I was reading a few posts from two years ago from the folks who started and have stuck with this community.....frankly, I was nearly moved to tears at the passion and level of commitment here!! So many of us look to the forum to know how to speak up to our doctors, to know if what we feel is expected or if we should be afraid~~quite simply to hold our hands and listen patiently and then explain.

Thank you to all the workers, volunteers, and fellow patients who are always there. I'd been on the forum for about a year before I inquired about giving back for some of the support I still receive.

If you aren't a member, go to virginmoneygiving.com, and you can sign up for a monthly donation charged to your Visa, Debit Card, or Mastercard. You know the saying ...many pennies a dollar make. It doesn't have to be a large monthly amount because it all adds up and makes a difference. If you have any problems, Fran Benson is a joy to work with.

I feel so grateful for the many times the forum saved me...from just falling apart and giving up...I thought I'd share this information in case folks in the states don't realize how easy it is to put a coin toward research and helping to keep things moving.

Now, you help so many~! When I was diagnosed with GCA in 2019, everything I learned about it, came from the forum. The forum made me a better informed patient and talking to people who made it through 'all this'...convinced me I could too. Thank you DL xo🥰

Yes I totally agree, this forum has some super duper posters.

I have been here quite a few years now and I trust the opinions here more than my rheumatologist or GP.
