I cannot express the depth of my gratitude to 'all of you', your good thoughts, prayers and vibes.
My son's heart surgery went well,Friday, and he is in ICU. We talk of the effect of STRESS! I was thinking so much about him, I was on auto-pilot. BUT, last night, my body said OK, rest! I slept for 14 hours straight and I'm ready for more.
My back procedure on Thursday, went smoothly and my back isn't bad, just sore.
I am so glad that your sonβs heart surgery went well Darling Grammy! So glad that you had 14 hours of healing sleep! So glad your back procedure went smoothly! Everybody is rooting for you? πππππ
That's another few major bridges you've successfully crossed. So happy for you on both counts. You must be feeling relieved and more settled now Grammy. Sending much love and you're both in my thoughts.
Good to hear Grammy. I know when things go well as they ought I feel better physically and the opposite when events are against me. Whether stress or a depressive feeling the physical impact is very real as it lowers my mood and motivation, so hard to counter and remain positive. If it is the same for you or similar then these two situations going well are going to be a boon and give you a well deserved lift. Be well.
Yes, the body is one thing but the power of the mind is amazing. No doubt we all feel better when are feelings are positive and we keep ourselves on that path. It takes different 'cures' for all of us to get out of the shady place and into the sun. There is so much for us to put under the 'Gratitude' column. I am grateful!! Thanksππ
Best wishes for your son's recovery. Great to get your back treatment, hope it helps, it will make such a difference to you. Here's to calmer times for you. Xx
A great gift, I actually got to talk to him for a few minutes. He has an external pacemaker that is wired into his heart...which I could tell unnerved him. He sounded positive and sleepy, but WOW, I'm just so grateful he has it behind him and is here. xoxoππ
Is that an outside the body external or outside the heart? My pacemaker has wires feeding to the heart - really no big deal, he'll get his head round it.
It is an outside body piece...he said 'protection in case'. It almost sounded as if his heart should strike an irregular beat, this would kick in. When he is stable, the intent is to remove it, at this point. Whe knows, a different decision may be made down the line. My longtime neighbor and friend of 60 years received a pacemaker three years ago...and a new lease on life. She's as feisty as you too!ππ
To all my caring friends, my son came home today and actually visited for 20 minutes, he has been through a lot, but he is through it. He is apprehensive and I think that will make him a better patient now regarding meds etc. He is positive and thankful. I am thankful for you~!! I know I'll sleep tight tonight. xoxoππ
