It is always better to know and understand than not know and worry in my opinion.

Hi Seamaid. I read your post and found the replies really helpful too. I have been having same symptoms and feeling like a zombie for a while. In fact I also posted about this a couple of days ago but have not had any replies which did surprise me.Wanted to mention however that I had very low B12 readings so now having injections. Could be a mix of both! Hey ho.

Hi Ebiker. I also am low in Vit B12 and have been so so several years. I used to have the injections every three months but had to go onto the tablets when Covid arrived and we could not go into the surgery's I actually prefer the tablets as they do keep me topped up, taking them every day . I used to find I was y quite low by the time I was on my third month waiting for the jab LOL . best wishes .

Thanks for that Seamaid. Several people I know say the 3 months is too big a gap and that concerned me. However, as the first 6 injections did not do the job my doctor started a second 6 this week after only 10 days.Good to know about the tablets.

I am extremely fatigued with GCA. More than I was with Pernicious Anaemia/B12 deficiency. I self inject once a week. Do you buy the B12 tablets or are they prescribed.

Hi Tiki 15. I have Pernicious Anaemia and PMR ( No GCA ) I have my B12 tablets ( Cyanocobalamin ) prescribed for me monthly , I take 1 MG a day . . My fatigue is coming from my tapering down now, on 8mg/7.5mg and my body is not very keen ! I think I will be staying here for a while best wishes ..

If you have PA - are you absorbing the B12 from the tablets? That is usually a problem and why they use injections.

I have been on the tablets since Covid started and all well, My GP makes sure I have regular blood tests etc so long may the tabs last 😀

Hi Seamaid. Thanks for your reply. Was on 7mg but back up to 8mg due to different pains in head. What a journey! ☹️
