5mg and sticking but a question.

From my last posts about 1 month ago you will see I raised my dose from 3mg to 8mg for about 8 days then dropped back to 5mg. Been there since then. Was going along ok with just a few aches a.m. but was planning to stay here fttb to make sure all ok ( as PMR Pro suggested). End of last week a few events added to the picture- 2 poor sleep nights due to hot weather in UK so very tired, couple of mildly stressful situations but now sorted. To de- stress from those I resorted to light gardening jobs which is always my escape mechanism, and some local walks. Think the combination of all was the catalyst for ending up with aching thighs and tight muscles around rib cage back and front. Been taking 1 paracetamol at intervals which masks it almost totally within 30 mins. Tiredness has improved with resting this week. Do I sit this out and just use the paracetamol and see how it goes?

I'd say so yes - if 500mg paracetamol does the job it is unlikely to be PMR iteself. Even just walking/standing a bit more than usual can result in sore muscles!

A good way to go - if it gets worse that is something else. But be kind to yourself.

Sounds like you’ve just over done it in the good old fashioned way, especially as Paracetamol sees it off. I think that for us gardeners for whom that is a happy place, a few light tasks are not seen for what they are. It’s broken up into lots of different actions, each forgotten as we are on to the next. After only 20 minutes all sorts of bit and pieces have been tweaked, especially upper body. On top of that you’ve been stressed, so you’ve ended up being a bit too crispy round the edges and will probably need a good week’s rest and then review.

I love these descriptions, they clarify it perfectly. I love gardening and I can seek solace in it when life has its blips. My husband does the heavy jobs but I like to potter then time passes without me noticing. Result...all those tweaks you describe! Winter is easy, Spring and Summer I am having to tie myself down! Diary has been emptied for the rest of the week.
