Does any of this sound as if it could be connected to PMR? I have had a misty blur in the lower left quadrant of my left eye for 2 months, since a jarring fall, fracturing my sacrum. My optometrist found swollen optic nerves and sent me straight to ER. They have done 2 CTs, eliminating elevated spinal fluid, brain tumour, pressure n the brain., GCA. Next MRI for possible myeloma in meninges, an appt with neurologist and further eye appointment. I feel fine, no headaches. PMR is stable at 6.5 mg
I posted this earlier, but stupidly didn’t mention the optic nerves. Does this resonate with anyone? Many thanks. Jane.

The swollen optic nerve is a sign of something called AION which can be arterial or non-arterial in origin - and the non-arterial form can cause blurring:
You seem have delete my reply - but will repeat, my blurriness was caused by GCA, but if that’s been discounted…it may be as PMRpro suggests and has given link..
Provided the swelling reduces quickly and the optic nerve returns to normal and hasn’t been damaged, your blurriness should abate, sure your medics are monitoring situation.
I have GCA and realize I am sensitive when I hear about anything affecting the vision. I was recently sent to a neuro-opthalmologist by my ophthalmologist. As it turned out I had inflammation of the optic nerve in my right eye. You've heard from some great sources here. What do the doctors attribute the blurriness too. Best to you💕
They don’t think it is GCA. I have no symptoms except blurry left eye. Both optic nerves are inflamed. I also have myeloma so they are chasing that too. Many thanks, Jane
