Accidentally took my pred too early

I take my 5 mg of pred about 2 am every night, but tonight I accidentally took it instead at 8 pm. Arrrrh! Any suggestions? I’m wondering if I should skip my 2 am dose and try to tough it out until tomorrow night and take my usual dose? Maybe not a good idea? Thanks for any input.

I have read guidance that says just take your next dose as normal. On here, where we understand, we favour having a bit extra in the system rather than less for a temporary period. It tends to give us an especially good day. Personally, I would take my next dose at 2 am.

Thanks, I think that’s just what I’ll do. First time in 4 years I got it mixed up, can’t believe I did it….

Take the next dose as normal - don't ever try to tough it out. A bit too much won't hurt for once - but as I understand it, you are still going to be more than 24 hours between doses, don't try to go any longer.
