COVID 3rd primary dose

I just wanted to say thank you for the information on this site about the third primary dose. Having explained it to my partner’s specialist, who then explained it to his GP, the GP made an appointment for him. He had a severe reaction to the first AZ dose, but that’s when he finally get the PMR diagnosis. He rested befor and after the 2nd AZ jab and had no ill effects.

He came back from his appointment for the third primary dose (Pfizer) and told me that they had offered him the flu jab at the same time and he had accepted it!!

I was really worried, but I’m relieved to say that he has experienced no problems so I just wanted to let everyone know that there wasn’t necessarily a pattern just because you have a bad reaction to the first one.

Well done for getting this organised PMRZ - the ‘system’ hasn’t made it easy! And thanks for the info about the differing effects (or not) of the different jabs 😊

It’s a bad job really when you have to read the advice out over the phone to the specialist, especially when he’s paying to see him privately! Anyway, I stuck to my guns and he accepted that my partner was eligible – having said he wasn’t previously!
