I know there have been several posts on this subject, but I feel as though I have won a small battle!
Following posts from Mrs Nails and others, I knew that my medical history made me eligible for this elusive 3rd Primary vaccine. I spoke to the GP, wrote a couple of letters, and received adamant negative responses. However all changed late Monday afternoon with a call from the GP's Practice Manager, to say that a Dashboard (I think that it is reserved for GPs only) had now been updated and my name had appeared! I was offered an appointment ! I asked about others in the same situation, and was told that they would receive text messages on Tuesday and they would make sure that I also had a copy of the text so that I could read all of the information.
As it happens my appointment is only a week before my 6 month post vaccine period finishes, which would have allowed me to book a normal booster, but there is also the possibility that another booster will be offered to those like me(us) in another 6 months.
Small victories - thank you Mrs Nails and others who helped me to be absolutely sure of my facts and to push for my entitlement.

Our local pharmacy is giving third Covid jabs. I think the Medical Centre is letting people know based on the government’s priority list. I have been helping find volunteers. It is really successful and only a village pharmacy.
The NHS emailed me within 6 months after receiving my second vaccination. No battle was required and it was very easy to book the appt online. This may be area specific, but the NHS are working through the lists of those requiring a third vaccination and will get to everyone in time.
Hi. Was that the booster or the third primary vaccine you were offered? My understanding is that you don’t have to wait 6 months for the third vax, only the booster. 🤷♀️
It was the third primary… it’s just taken that long for the authorities to agree that I was eligible! And probably a booster in 6 months. According to my surgery, they still have no way of recording that it is not the booster, but 3rd primary. Someone has yet to develop the software.
Sorry Grantoday that question was for Heron82. I did appreciate you were speaking about the 3rd primary vaccine. My friends doctors are having the same delay/problem of how to register it so he will have to wait. No problems here with the boosters roll out it seems. Just confusion over there being an extra jab for those severely immunocompromised at the time of their original vaccines. This should be given before the booster. It will get there in the end eh 🤗
About par for the course for this gubmint!! The not-yet-developed software for border checks - still not there after 5 years. And the NHS software is a black hole anyway ...
Hi. I mentioned the 3rd primary vaccine to my friend who now has pmr. He was on 15mg when he got his second Pfizer jab. He communicated with his health centre who got got back to him agreeing he was entitled to it followed by the booster 6 months after the 3rd vaccine. All this happened because of the discussion on this site. 🤗
Are you on watch and wait or have you been treated in the past. I have a telephone appointment with go on Tuesday to discuss this topic. I need to be clear if they are classing watch and wait as treatment. I’m also on long term steroids. So pleased for you to get a result.
I rang surgery as a result of Mrs Nails and they insisted it's the booster. Not heard of third primary. They got in touch with consultant who said they were working through their lists. So somebody knows it seems. System a bit like dot to dot book without the dots!
GP insists they know nothing about a third primary vaccine, texted me a link to book a ‘booster’ but of course the website wouldn’t let me book this because it’s only five months and a bit since I had my second vaccination. Honestly I don’t know whether to give up and just have the standard over 50’s booster…..I’ve contacted the surgery three times now and they evidently have no knowledge of the third primary…..or they don’t want to know, I’m not sure
