Just had a letter from rheumatologist to say I need 3rd vaccine and a booster in 6 months, they state because of low immune response from vaccine it’s needed.
Hope you are all well, I’m still bed bound, not allowed to weight bear, driving me up the wall.
Take care
Xx

I've had a similar letter from my Rheumatology service. They're inviting me to the football ground in the city next to mine - no way! I'll keep trying to get it done locally.
I imagine you'll have to wait for yours until you're back on your feet.
Hi Rugger,I’ve got a wheelchair for now so if needed I can go to a centre for the vaccine, I had my flu jab yesterday at my surgery. The nurse was fantastic as she gave me the jab in their tiny car park. Saved us getting the wheelchair out. Not sure re the third vaccine, receptionist said she’d ask the doctor, ?
At the moment I’m on 5mg pred, but I’ve often been on much higher doses when I’ve had relapses, sometimes 40mg or even higher, this is the the lowest I’ve been since 2 years ago, only just recently I had to increase to 10mg for 5 days.
I was on an antibody trial. Antibody test last Dec. No antibodies at all. Both AZ jabs. Antibody test 4 weeks later, end of May. Results in August. Plenty of antibodies. Now, do I wait for the 6-months-later antibody test to see how they are surviving or get the booster? Not seen the rheumo since 30/12/19. Not seen a doc for 20 months. Couple of phone calls only.
Hi, Same thing, I had 2 AZ vaccine ( just the testing only trial for antibodies).
Mine came back negative after 4 weeks, yet 3 months later I had another test and then it showed antibodies. I’m still going to have the 3rd vaccine though, if you read up on having 3 doses of the vaccine it explains why clinically vulnerable people need the extra vaccine and then the booster in 6months. This is why I assume rheumatologist wants me to have 3 doses.
