Is there anything that reduces the prednisone “moonface”.? I hate how puffy and round my face has gotten since I have been in this drug ( 1.5 years). I am only on 8mg now but it has nit getting better. ☹️

Hi skidooMy face and chins were bad, but it did reduce when I got below 7mgs, but it is slow - be patient it will go. I also had gained weight so I went on a proper diet and lost the extra weight and a bit more ..... but the face was the last bit to go. Good luck you are almost there!

Cutting carbs drastically will help lose the fat deposits that cause the moonface. It may not get rid of it altogether but it can improve it a lot. Some people don't lose it altogether until they are off pred entirely - everyone is different.

I too hate my chubby face and neck. Plus fluid in fingers, unable to wear my rings at the moment. I'm down to 7.5mg of Pred and hope as I reduce further the fat face will disappear. I wouldn't call mine a 'Moonface' but certainly is different from my profile pic that was taken just before I started on Pred in Dec 2019. My weight was 9st 8lbs before Pred. I'm now 10st 1lb...so a bit to lose. Let us know when yours starts to go down.

I loved my moon face, wrinkles vanished and then it went away slowly. 😢
