You may be encouraged to know that at least 3 of us on here who have had the antibody test are all positive after 2 jabs
That's good to know. Maybe I will get tested in a couple of weeks so I can know my staus.
Did you get quantification, or was it a yes/no type of result. The latter is reassuring but not sufficient to resume social activities like ‘normal’ people. But to throw a spanner, the Indian variant could be bad news, especially if one is borderline with ABs. 😳
According to my doctor the antibody test does not tell you whether you are immune. This is hard to get your head around I know. Apparently you have to take into account other factors like your immunosuppresants and also other biological factors at which point I was lost I am afraid!!!!! Any expert opinions welcome.
The results of a study from a Vienna group published this week has found immunity does develop even when patients are on immunosuppressants:

(it is in English)
It seems to have been predominantly patients on rituximab which it was assumed would prevent the memory immune response - it stops B-cells which are crucial. They are now extending the study to other immunsuppressants which will include corticosteroids.
Do you mean the stuff in JAMA from this lot?
medpagetoday.com/infectious...
which seems to concentrate on solid organ transplant recipients. The work that mentioned steroids was done in the UK I think but I can't find it.
Or the one mentioned here:
I had my second AZ shot 4 weeks ago. I had no side effects from the first or the second. I was worried my immune system hadn't responded to the vaccination. This week I had a blood test and it shows I have a positive antibody result. I am on 7mg pred. and have been on them since January 2020. Age 66 male.
