I have just spoken to receptionist at Doctors surgery for blood results. Doctor has marked them as normal, no follow up. My CRP is 12 which is what it was when first diagnosed in November 2015. My lowest recorded CRP is 5.5 in October 2016 My test from Monday is 12 again. I Have been taking 8mg of Pred since Monday and I am feeling better already ( I have been on 5mg for a few months and not feeling too good ) I will drop back to 7mg next week and keep you posted ❤️

He may consider them normal but if you got to 5.5 and it has risen to 12 that is a sign the dose you were on wasn't enough to control the daily dollop of new inflammation. In future you should be aiming to stay about 6.
Normal range is the readings you will find in 95% of a normal population of apparently healthy people = not the range of readings acceptable for a single person - you have your own normal level and it might be towards the top or the bottom of the range.
